I'll have the turkeyitis please!

Hopefully all of you got the chance to refill your bank accounts, stuff your face and party with all your long lost besties aka go home for the possibly the best holiday ever, THANKSGIVING! It's one of those holidays that helps you get away from boring classes and walking around campus soaking wet because you're trying to save money not buying an umbrella to go out that night. You get to enjoy one last weekend of loafting around while your parents make you all your meals and praise you for "working so hard at school" until Christmas. Its a weekend to give thanks and appreciate what we all take for granted, but more importantly to eat everything and anything you can get your hands on that your too lazy to make yourself at school. I'm talking turkeyitis ladies and gents. I'm pretty sure I ate my body weight in turkey, ham, stuffing, roasted veggies and dessert. You can't be ungrateful and stick to your 6-pack diet during thanksgiving. "Sorry no pumpkin pie, berry cobbler, ice cream or apple pie for me, I'm on a diet", yeah right more like "I'll have a generous helping of four, please".  You can run for 2 days straight to burn it all off when you get back to reality. So here's comes the totally cliche and obvious "What are you thankful for?"
Well my friends, I'm thankful for UWO and the best university experience, losing the freshman 15 and friends who drink like fish and don't judge me for things I wouldn't do sober. Hopefully everyone called they're parents and thanked them for making them so darn good looking and paying their tuition! If not, they still let you go to UWO so don't be ungrateful. One more thing I'm thankful for, the weather (weekend only, not rainy sad school days)! This weekend was freakishly hot (no complaints). If any of you were fortunate to have a bestie with a pool still open, you lucked out. I made the switch from classic UWO knee high boots and leather jacket to a bathing suit and some short shorts for some quality tanning time.Obviously with way too many people to catch up on and food to eat absolutely no studying got done. Bad news bears. Unfortunately with thanksgiving also comes the start of midterms with a side of a significant decrease in your attitude, fun level and for some, appearance. Study hard and hit the gym.

Stay classy HS
